Florida Screen Capture 2/20/99

The Florida Keys does have a series of Weather Stations along it's shores on their own frequency and several APRS digi's on 144.390 MHz.. The Keys have been left out of this capture to provide a better view of the rest of the state.

Notice the lack of coverage along two regions on the East coast of the state and along the West Coast before arriving into the Panhandle region. We need help from local hams and anyone else that can set up a simple digipeater station at east 150ft and above in these areas. A digipeater can be built in an afternoon or less and will only take up the room required for a mobile radio and power supply. The actual TNC can be as small as a pack of cigarettes or a bit smaller than a paperback book.
