javAPRS and GIF Maps
JavAPRS can also display GIF files as maps. javAPRS must be passed
parameters describing the top and left edges of the map, and the
pixels per degree of horizonal and vertical scales. For now, this
data must be figured out by hand. Eventually I will be releasing an
applet that calculates the data given two points on the map.
This applet displays a trip on KO4HD-8 (my 15 foot Boston Whaler Rage) into
the back country of the lower Keys. There's great fishing back there!
